Wisconsin has paid out $384.3M in unemployment benefits since March 15
Since the Covid-19 pandemic began negatively impacting Wisconsin`s economy in mid-March, the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development has deployed $384.3 million to those in need of unemployment benefits, the department announced.

Through May 2 and dating back to March 15, DWD has received 498,297 preliminary unemployment benefit applications. The daily counts reported by DWD are not yet official. After the claims are processed and verified, the counts are reported weekly to the U.S. Department of Labor....
