Madison task force looking for public input to help decide future of city golf courses

With less than two months before its deadline, a task force studying golf in Madison is hosting public meetings to inform recommendations that will determine the future of the city’s four municipal courses.

Interested residents can attend public input meetings scheduled for Thursday, March 5, at Olbrich Botanical Gardens, 3330 Atwood Ave., and March 10 at Goodman Maintenance Facility, 1402 Wingra Creek Parkway. Both meetings run from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Also, a survey is available online through March 31...

Ken Notes: My input, LEASE the courses to the private sector for $1 each and ask that 25 to 50% of the tee time be made available to the public. This keeps the courses in play and removes the City from running them at a loss. If a private club takes a course and makes a boatload of money say congratulations and ask them to continue.
