Green Bay Packaging`s $160 million tax-exempt bond request would use half of state program`s 2019 funds

GREEN BAY - A proposed financing package for Green Bay Packaging Inc.`s new mill would tap more than half of the money available this year through Wisconsin`s industrial revenue bond program.

Green Bay`s Redevelopment Authority on Tuesday approved the company`s request for the city to issue $160 million in industrial revenue bonds. If approved by the Green Bay City Council, the request would be considered by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp., which administers the $300 million federal bonding program.

The request will go before the Council later this month for final approval...

Ken Notes: Since an IRB is paid back we may need to look into working with the Feds to expand the program.
