Editorial: Once again, it`s time for Wisconsin citizens to let politicians know who`s the boss

Wisconsin citizens elected a new governor and attorney general in November.

Now, leaders of the state Senate and Assembly intend to rush through bills that would reduce the authority of the incoming elected leaders while raising taxpayer costs. They want to pass them as soon as Tuesday, in an extraordinary session, so that Gov. Scott Walker can sign the new rules into law before leaving office in January.  Details just came out Friday, with the first public discussion in the Capitol on Monday and a potential vote by Tuesday.

The bill includes plans to lower voter turnout by adding a third statewide election in the spring of 2020, even though it will cost taxpayers millions of additional dollars and local election officials have come out strongly against it...

...Each of these three leaders can stop this anti-democratic power grab on his own. If you think they should stop it, let them know immediately:

Gov. Scott Walker:
(608) 266-1212, govgeneral@wisconsin.gov, walker.wi.gov/contact-us

Assembly Speaker Robin Vos:
(608) 266-9171, Rep.Vos@legis.wisconsin.gov

Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald:
(608) 266-5660, Sen.Fitzgerald@legis.wisconsin.gov

   ...more

Ken Notes: To be honest this will not be stopped by our emails or editorials. I do have a solution though... Governor Elect Evers should publicly declare he will line item veto every partisan item in the budget(s) until their is a bipartisan position on economic development, education, and health care on his desk...
